Delusional Donald Trump has now claimed his administration should get an “A-Plus” rating for his economy. That’s news to hardworking families across New Hampshire, who have already paid nearly $1,700 more in added costs thanks to Trump’s tariffs, and seen gas prices soar above $4 again thanks to his war of choice with Iran. 

Just last month, Trump announced he was imposing another 50% tariff on most Canadian goods, raising costs on everything from building materials to grocery store products. Trump’s costly and chaotic trade wars with Canada have already hammered New Hampshire’s small businesses, with some seeing their revenues hit by up to 15%. 

Trump can grade himself however he wants, but the reality is Costly Kelly and Delusional Donald are failing Granite Staters. The state’s economy has been ranked as one of the top ten worst in 2026. Under Kelly Ayotte, New Hampshire’s economy has been graded a near failure – ‘D,’ and the state’s “fiscal situation is anything but rock solid.” Housing costs in New Hampshire have hit another record high, with the median price of a single-family home hitting $576,000. Electricity costs have risen nearly 15% over the last year, and Granite Staters now have to pay new, excessive costs just to keep their health care. 

“Delusional Donald’s A+ economy only exists in his imagination,” said NHDP Chair Ray Buckley. “The reality is that Costly Kelly has rubber-stamped Trump’s costly and chaotic agenda, raising costs for Granite Staters at every turn. Trump can keep living in fantasy land, but Granite Staters know the truth.”
